Classic Facebook Settings – You got a message to try out the new Facebook design recently, you accepted; Facebook switched you to its New Facebook interface. But, for some reason or so, you don’t really like this new interface or you just prefer the old one. How do you switch back?
Classic Facebook is also known as old Facebook. it’s the Facebook design or interface we are currently using, switching to a new one would be quite hard. For one, most Facebook users are used to the classic Facebook design and it takes time to get along with change.
Although the New Facebook design is so much better than Classic Facebook, knowing how to switch back to Classic Facebook is very important. The New Facebook is still in its testing phase hence switching to it means you will probably encounter some problems.
What the New Facebook is About?
Classic Facebook has been updated from time to time, each time with new features and a different interface. But, what is so different about this new Facebook update?
The new Facebook completely change the Facebook design, creating a simpler one for Facebook users. It also comes with an official in-app Facebook dark mode. No more searching for Facebook app dark Mode or using third-party apps and services to enforce dark mode on Facebook. The new Facebook has its long-awaited own dark mode.
Icons design and positions have been edited a little bit and it seems the Facebook platform runs on its own personal 5G network. Everything loads so fast. One of the main subjects of change in the new Facebook is the news feed.
Does Everyone Get the New Facebook?
Yes, everyone does get the New Facebook but not at once. The new Facebook is still being tested hence the Facebook prompts to switch to new Facebook are just messaged to a few people.
Although you can switch to New Facebook, this doesn’t mean you will see the option to switch. Facebook just allows some users to switch to the new Facebook so they can test it and give feedback, reports, and reviews. This will inform Facebook of what they need to work on in their new design before totally releasing it.
Also, the new Facebook design has not been released worldwide. Only some countries get the opportunity to use it for now. Sooner or later, it will come around, just relax and wait.
Classic Facebook Switch Back Settings
Back to my first statement above, you agreed to Facebook’s prompt of trying out its new design and now you have to switch back to the old Facebook layout. It’s simple;
- Click on the dropdown arrow at the upper right corner of your Facebook newsfeed page.
- From the list of options, select “Switch to Classic Facebook”.
- Facebook asks why you want to do so, skip if you want. But I will advise you to give them your reasons and reviews, it will surely be helpful.
You will be redirected to the old Facebook layout.
